Woven Gabions – Ideal for Construction and Protection

Woven gabions, refers to rectangular shaped containers woven by galvanized, PVC coated or Galfan steel wires, are widely used in the civil engineering industry, especially in the construction where the soil erosion or scour is serious.

The woven gabions are commonly used with geotextiles to reduce water velocities and re-capture river bed sediment in streams.

The woven gabions can be filled with soils or stones for stability and durable life.

The production of double twisted gabions with heavy zinc coating are accord with EN 10244 and ASTM A641 standard and the PVC coating requirements are accord with the ASTM A 975 standard.

Meanwhile, all their edges are reinforced by heavy wire selvedge for added strength.

Woven gabion baskets feature excellent permeability of the front face, which allows for great drainage of backfill to dissipate hydrostatic pressure forced upon the gabion wall.
